PARADISE STREET BUS STATION
Canning Place
This was the first phase of the Paradise Street Project to be completed, on November 13th 2005. It's predecessor, actually on Paradise Street, closed the previous day. In its early days, the station came under heavy criticism from bus users who claimed it was too far from existing shops and its design left travellers open to the elements. To the left of the pictures, you can see John Lewis and the Hilton Hotel being developed.
