LIVERPOOL CANAL LINK
Pier Head
This £20m scheme will extend the Leeds and Liverpool Canal across the world-famous Pier Head and into the South Docks. In total, it will provide a further 1.4 miles of navigable waterway. It's expected to be finished in autumn 2008, with the Pier Head section finished earlier in July.
